MISSION
I. Fabricated Architecture – Pre-engineered and prefabricated architecture and products that integrate the most recent and appropriate technologies in structure and mechanics. Items in this category synthesize built forms with the various patterns inherent in today’s lifestyles to create a new model for living that will incorporate operable, mobile elements in response to required functions.
II. Design + Build | Commissioned Work – Custom design applications for a symbiotic relationship within an existing site and each unique context. Initial evaluations focus on reclamation of materials, adaptation, and re-use. We assess programmatic functions for opportunities to integrate and incorporate materials and objects within the architectural design.
III. First Aid Design + Build | Emergency Architecture – First Aid Design + Build is the study and science for the provision of initial care in the event of a natural disaster or other catastrophic incidences. Through research and testing, we develop the basis for architectural solutions designed to respond to the different programmatic needs of an event. We will assist in the efforts to address immediate shelter needs by assessing and utilizing available on-site resources and building materials, or by transporting prefabricated structures to the relief area to be assembled in the field. Initial areas of focus will be centered on hurricane areas of the United States Atlantic Coast, the Caribbean, and the Gulf of Mexico.
IV. Lab – Experimental Design + Theory – F8, Kinetic Grand Canyon house, Seasteading Design known as Stage 5. This is an ongoing design process intermixed with vast amounts of reconnaissance + research.
